The Residential Programming Board (RPB) is a student advocacy group working under the University of Washington's Housing and Food Services that organizes around thirty fun and low-cost events for residents living on campus. I was honored to join this wonderful group of students this year, and have had a blast so far! As AD of Recognition and Development, I organize staff development events, make gifts for teammates for their birthdays and to recognize their hard work, run icebreaker activities during our weekly staff meetings, and much more! In addition to AD responsibilities, everyone on the board is responsible for leading two events, co-leading one, and assisting on 9-10 more each quarter. Next year, I will be the leader of this group as the incoming student director (ARES).
For autumn quarter, I hosted a pumpkin painting and CD painting event. I co-led a Media Trivia Night, and assisted on the following events:
-
Ring Making
-
Sounders Take-To
-
Spooky Pot a Plant
-
Pumpkin Patch
-
Dodgeball
-
Barbie
-
Sexual Wellness Fair
I enjoyed making decorations and artistic creations for many of these events, some of which are shown on the right. I also made a punch card program.
